When General Blesse returned from Korea he wrote
" Guts No Glory No Glory".
A tactical manual written to teach the combat tactics needed for the new jet age. The manual was used for 20 years in the Air Force
and in several allied countries.
It has been called the fighter pilots bible.
After retirement General Blesse wrote an autobiography called
"CHECK SIX ( A Fighter looks back)"
The loves, fears. failures and accomplishments of an
American fighter pilot during two combat tours in Korea, two in Vietnam and 30 years in the USAF.
